FRIDAY is committed to collect ONLY the information we require to fulfill these objectives, unless requested by our client and authorization is given by the job seeker.
WHEN DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND TO WHOM?
Your personal information is only disclosed for FRIDAY’s legitimate business purposes or as required to meet legislative and regulatory requirements, for example, to comply with a court order or government audit.
Your personal information is NEVER sold, traded or leased to external companies.
Through our normal business practices, we may disclose job seekers’ and contract professionals’ personal information to our clients when we feel there is a potential for a job placement. As a job seeker you are relying on FRIDAY to share such information to promote you for a job vacancy you are well suited for. We only provide the information that is required and requested to make an informed decision regarding hiring.
We may share information with our affiliates, partners or other companies but only if that party’s obligation to protect your personal information and privacy is outlined and mirrors our own.
Examples of those companies we may share you information with include:

Organizations that perform background, security, criminal, credit checks and education verification as required by the client and as a condition to secure employment.

HAVE YOU CONSENTED?
Prior to your assessments and interview with us, you will (be/have been) asked to review our Privacy Policy and Consent for Disclosure of Personal Information as part of our due diligence in providing you with employment and recruiting services. At that time, your express consent will have been obtained to use your personal information for the purposes of your employment.
HOW LONG IS YOUR INFORMATION RETAINED?
We retain your information for as long as you are utilizing our services, or longer if required by law. For flexible/temporary employees that means for as long as you remain working through us (or one of our clients) and for seven years thereafter. For Direct Hire placements we retain your information for a minimum of one year after you accept a permanent employment position. We will also retain your information for as long as you may agree by express consent contained in any agreement between us.
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?
We have procedures and policies in place to ensure that your personal information, in both paper and electronic format, are secure. For example, we require the following:

Filing cabinets remain locked when not in use or attended to by appropriate staff member

Access to electronic and paper files is limited on a need-to-know basis depending on job function

Password selection criteria and expiry make unauthorized access more difficult

Utilizing forms that abide by the laws of privacy to recycle/destroy paper documentation

This information is protected by the security policies of our internet service provider. Our internal networks are protected from intrusion by firewalls, routers as well as other password-protected security mechanisms. We have no control and take no responsibility for the inherent risks of interception if you provide personal information to us via unencrypted email.
HOW CAN YOU ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND CHECK ITS ACCURACY?
Should you require, you may make a written request to our Privacy Officer for access to the personal information we hold.
